Can you believe it’s officially 2020? It feels so weird to say that. 2019 was simply awesome, and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store. January is technically the star of the new month, new year and new decade – so what is a better time to get started on improving yourself then now? I hate to throw around the word “resolution” because I often feel this can get abused as many people make these exclamations but don’t end up sticking to them after a few months into the year. However, I do support the desire to make new goals and lifestyle changes for yourself if you like many other people need that fresh start.
But what about making a more altruistic promise – one that affects those beyond yourself? I’m not going to share all of my resolutions for the next year except one which I think is the most important – sustainable living. On an individual level, sometimes it can be difficult to know how to make a change, and what to do to better impact the world. But setting new goals for 2020 could help change your habits and live more sustainably where possible. The earth is different now, it‘s not like 100 years ago. The land, soil, air can‘t handle it anymore. Whether it‘s a small or drastic change within yourself it‘s what we all need. So educate yourself and act now because there is no Planet B.
