How Your Mood Affects Your Outfit

My style is a form of personal expression. It’s the way I choose to show how I feel, it’s a way in which I decide to introduce myself in certain situations and it’s a way in which I also change my mood. From comfort to colour and from trend to classic – my style is my own personal therapy. I think to a certain level we all use our style as a creative space but more and more I can recognise that the way in which I choose to dress, is a reflection of my mood.

When I’m feeling my most fabulous, those are the days I’ll reach for the clothes I know are more out there and the ones I just don‘t have that much of a confidence to wear everyday. My favourite killer boots (maybe even with a heel!), those sunglasses that leave me feeing like a rockstar, those colourful trousers and accessories that reflect that girl boss mood. When I’m feeling a little low, those are the days that I’ll reach for the clothes I know will offer me comfort. Probably white tee and blue jeans that works everytime.

What I’ve recently realised, I need more those confident boosting pieces and I‘m specifically talking about dresses since I have one dress that I feel good in. It is such an easy piece for summer because it‘s a type of clothing that you can pull out of your wardrobe, throw on and you’re good to go looking great! I just think midi/maxi Summer dresses are ridiculously chic and so easy to style up or down, depending on where you’re going.

So as you can see from the pictures I‘ve choosen this yellow dress. Yellow! I have never owned anything in this color so I must have been in a helluva good mood ;D This is a Mango dress but I have to warn you that it can be a little bit see-through so have that in mind.
