If you are done with an animal print or looking for something new, there’s another key trend appearing this autumn that’s threatening to knock animal print off its pedestal and that ladies and gentlemen, is corduroy. But, how to wear it without looking a middle-aged geography teacher or a librarian? Bad fitted corduroy clothes can give the impression that you’re larger than you are, so consider your proportions carefully or risk looking like a stuffed turkey.
Basically, corduroy is a star of this season and if you pull off the corduroy trend correctly, it can be super cute. Just be aware of how you look, and stay away from things like bucket hats.
I’ve already made a few corduroy purchases including this blazer from Mango and rust-colored pants from NA-KD.com and I’m in love! It’s amazing how a statement jacket or pants can jazz up a basic outfit. When it comes to corduroy pants, you definitely want to go with a wider version rather than a skinny one. It has a more effortlessly stylish cool-girl vibe whereas skinny pants have more a teacher looking vibe. Here are my three outfits using corduroy items that can be worn from day to night.
