Ugly Sneakers

If you are a 90s enthusiast, then this trend has definitely made you happy. After a quick scan on Instagram I can confirm that ugly shoe madness is still here. Especially when all those Balenciaga sneakers one by one are going one sale on various websites.

A trend in the sneaker world that seems to be happening often these days is brands doing their best to replicate their own version of what can essentially become top-selling product. Adidas, Nike, Prada, Dior and Louis Vuitton have all produced new chunky training shoes, which is definitely a street-style staple and since I’m dying for a height boost and want to add a little lift to my 164cm I decided to try this cheaper version that I‘m so happy about! My friend Monika (hey) found it on a website called basso.co and I can tell you that they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own so far. Just so you know, it’s not ugly at all.

This is a trend we love to hate or hate that we love. Personally, I don’t think that this obsession will last for a long and that’s where these cheaper options come in really handy.
