I am excited to finally share with you the plans for our renovation! I had spent a decent amount of time making mood boards and understanding what styles would suit the apartment. Below you can see the images that filled my mood board – with spaces that have lot of light, minimal details and decor that bring a lot of personality. I started to adore Scandinavian designs after a year of working at the store called Skandiamo where you can find lots of interesting interior accessories and furniture. Minimal furniture and subtle colors is a Scandi speciality and I can’t wait to bring this feel to our home. So, I thought it would be nice to quickly run you through a few of the inspiration and materials we have in mind for our apartment.
Kitchen
I love grey accents at home. It always adds a very modern note to a room. However, I really don’t want this color to take over the whole flat, so I think we will leave it for the kitchen only with some other accents which will complete the look.
Living room
Mixing warm accents, like wood with colder materials like marble and brass is the key to keep a minimalistic apartment clean and modern but still cozy. Me and Karolis really love wooden accents and I think it adds a nice warmth to every minimalistic apartment. Also it will never go out of style!
Bedroom
It‘s the small details that will make a house a home and bedroom is going to be the coziest place in the apartment with these special touches. Interesting greenery, a wall full of posters, pictures and soft textiles that‘s what I will try to combine at the smallest room in the flat.
