You probably know by now that I’m not the girliest girl. I generally try to avoid super feminine pieces because they don’t suit me. However, I like pleated skirts (which is basically as girly as it gets) and I think I found the way to wear them and at the same time to stay true to my style.
I got this skirt after my friend gave it away to me because she couldn’t find the way to wear it. And I don’t blame her. It’s not the easiest peace to wear if you don’t want to pair it with something simple to be safe and look basic. So that’s how I came up with the idea to show 3 different outfits where I have combined one item in various ways.
DISCLAIMER – I shot these looks in the freezing cold, so I’m trying REALLY hard to look normal in these photos. You can see the struggle in my eyes. #fightingthearcticwind

This was one of those weeks where everything seemed to go my way. Nothing crazy happened, but I really love falling back into my routine at home. This past week, I decided it was time to get back on track with my health. In effort to make the slow transition, I started by adding in a few minor goals and one of them is to start taking my own prepared food to work because it makes such a huge difference! I spend so much money when everyday I go to eat in a restaurant during my lunch break and that food is not even great…
Also, I am proud to report that today is day seven of my daily exercising. Actually, I was doing that the whole last year but in December I had a little break and now I’m finally back on track! It is so nice not to feel guilty about it anymore.
I hope you all had a great week 🙂 Happy weekend!

You thought this trend would never come back into style but I‘ve been waiting for it, as long as I saw my granny wearing it. If you ask me, the beret is more than just a seasonal trend. It’s a true classic, that would go with any outfit. Besides, who doesn’t like to look French?
There are lots of styles with pompoms, pearls, leather and other embellishments out there right now, but I always prefer the classic ones without any distractions. The beret has long been associated with creatives throughout history and for me they are always associated with poets, french girls and old ladies in the church on Sundays.
However, I have one main suggestion on how to wear it. The beret should be pulled fully over the head, covering half of the ears. Avoid the beret being overly on top of your head else you might have to say au revoir to this season’s coolest accessory.

2017 has actually been a really phenomenal year for me and it’s a bit scary to admit that. Sometimes it’s terrifying to say that you’ve been happy because you’re afraid that it will all disappear. 2017 has hands down been the single best year of my entire life and it seems like as I get older, things just keep falling into places more and more. That means that 2018 will be even better!
Let’s take a little moment to look back & forward.
Since traveling has always been my passion I like to look back to places that I have visited through the year. I have started 2017 with a weekend in London, and afterwards I traveled to Nice, Monaco, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Verona, Lake Como and it was the best trip of my life! Also, we had the chance to visit Gdynia, as it was the city where Opener festival took place, and Riga where I spend a Christmassy weekend with my friends.
At the end of the year we have decided to re-decorate our small apartment and make it cozier, lighter and more practical. With just a few small changes it became my favorite place and as soon as it’s finished I will share some pictures with you!
Finally, 2017 wouldn’t have been the same without Karolis. This guy is the most caring, patient, inspiring, supportive and hilarious person I know and I can’t wait to get 2018 started with him. Let’s explore, cuddle, sleep, travel, dance, eat, relax, take pictures, go to festivals, laugh, eat, camp and watch YouTube videos together!
Who’s ready for another amazing year?!
